Best Prime Big Day Deals 2024: NAS, Networking, Hard Drives, & More
20TB Western Digital Elements
This is my favorite deal on the list. It’s a 20TB Western Digital Elements external hard drive. This can be used as a local backup for a NAS device, or even as a regular, internal SATA drive as it can be removed from the case (shucked).
These are white-label, Western Digital Red NAS drives, meaning that it physically has a white label but is a CMR NAS hard drive. From a price-to-terabyte ratio, it’s hard to get better than this.

Synology RT6600ax
If you’re a beginner, the Synology RT6600ax is a great router. I’ve used it in a few videos to highlight how it works and used it as a test router for a long time, but this is arguably one of the easiest devices to configure a segmented network on. If you don’t use VLANs right now, or want separate SSIDs, IDS/IPS, and a lot more functionality, this is a great router to start with.

TerraMaster F4-424 Pro
From a price-to-performance perspective, the TerraMaster F4-424 Pro is an amazing value. It’s got an 8-core CPU and comes with 32GB of DDR5 memory. The downside of this device is it runs TOS 6, which isn’t the best pre-built NAS operating system, but since it has an HDMI port, you can run your own NAS operating system on it as well, assuming that you’re willing to install your own OS.
It will be extremely hard to build something like this for the same price, which makes this a pretty great overall deal.

GMKTec NucBox G3
The GMKTec NucBox G3 is a great little Mini PC, and for Prime Big Deal Day, it’s 20% off. Since it has an N100 processor, you can use this for hardware transcoding which makes it a great complement to something like a NAS device. I’ve used this exact device as a Mini PC Home Server, and even used three of them to build a Proxmox Cluster.
It can be upgraded from an SSD/RAM perspective, and for the price, it’s hard to beat. The exception being that if you’re someone who wants to buy something without actually upgrading it, this Beelink device will be slightly better for you.

SODOLA 8-Port 2.5GbE Switch
The name on this device isn’t the most known, but it’s hard to dislike the price-to-performance. For under $45, you get an 8-port 2.5GbE Switch with one 10Gb SFP+ port. Unfortunately, it’s unmanaged so you won’t be able to use it with VLANs, but it’s a pretty great overall deal if you’re looking to upgrade your networking.

Wavlink 2.5GbE USB-C & USB-A Adapter
Pair the device above with a 2.5GbE ethernet adapter and you’ll be able to add 2.5GbE to just about any device you own – especially because this one comes with USB-C and USB-A!
Keep in mind that if you upgrade to a 2.5GbE Switch but don’t have a 2.5GbE NIC, a device like this will be required!

APC 1500VA UPS
If you own a NAS device or just need a UPS, this isn’t the worst deal. It’s a 1500VA, meaning that it will run a decent amount of equipment on it, and it comes with a USB cable to actually monitor the UPS.
This is the most important part of a UPS, as it allows you to monitor when the UPS is on battery power, and safely shut down the devices connected to it. If you don’t have a UPS, you probably should, and this isn’t the worst price.

Samsung T7 4TB SSD
I’ve had the non-rugged version of this on my list for best video editing external SSDs, but this is the same thing, just rugged.
At a great price (especially for a 4TB external SSD), you can’t go wrong picking up one of these if you’re looking for a travel SSD or just want an SSD that won’t break if you drop it.

Crucial X9 2TB/4TB SSD
This is technically a better price-to-terabyte ration than the Samsung T7 above, but with the downside of not being rugged. For most, that won’t be a problem, but for under $120, you get a 2TB external SSD and for under $210, you get a 4TB external SSD.
Overall, if you need an external SSD and it being rugged isn’t important, this is the one I think you should buy.

GL.iNet Travel Router
I’ve been in the market for a travel router for a while now and I think this is the one I am going to pick up. This runs OpenWRT, which basically allows you to have a fully functional travel router, meaning it run can VPNs, act as its own WiFi SSID, and just functions like a router, on the go.
This is a great option for people who travel a lot, but if you’re not someone who travels a lot, skip over this. The value just isn’t there.

Final Thoughts on Amazon Prime Big Day Deals
These are some of the best Prime Day Big Deals of 2024 for NAS, hard drives, networking, Mini PCs, and more. Overall, you might want to wait for black Friday for specific things (for example, internal hard drives), but for some of these deals (especially the Western Digital Elements 20TB external hard drive), now is the time to buy.
